An hour talk at IIT by Humecons founder Mr Vasan.

How does an entrepreneur with no money but sheer drive succeed, keeping the passion alive through innumerable failures and rejections?

That was the topic on which Mr S.S.Vasan lectured an elite crowd of 100 students at IIT-Madras’ Dept of Management Studies on 11th January ‘10.

Mr Vasan has endured lot of troubles and difficulties in bringing out Humecons and was the apt person to share his experiences with the Management grads. An hour’s lecture at IIT is an honor in itself. Little did Mr Vasan realise in his 2 years at IIT that he would be addressing a similar gathering in a few years time.

Excerpts from the session are as follows:
Q: How did you manage to keep the spirit alive through your down-time?
A: I read various inspirational & motivational articles, thus keeping up my positive spirit and was very determined not to give up my cause for the sake of others.

Q: What do you think is the default quality of an entrepreneur?
A: One quality that I can list as belonging to an entrepreneur is ‘perfection’. He can never ever accept mediocre output from himself or others. This is the quality that brings out the best in himself and his people.
